Well, it will soon, most likely. University of Guadalajara researchers found that a main plant extract-blue agave- to make tequila- can pass through stomache acids without being destroyed. The hope is that doctors will be able to use blue agave as a vessel for delivering colon-cancer drugs more effectively. Human trials are planned. Aunt Agatha has booked us two tickets to Guadalajara and has phoned the University of Guadalajara to offer us as research candidates, although I rather fear her Spanish for colon cancer tequila drinkers may have us cleaning up after the monkeys.
