The office was dark and cold. Angel was back east, checking in with the Chief. Family, they were catching up on much, and were also preparing a new spread on healthy recipes. So many of grandma’s recipes can be adapted more scientifically with higher nutrient value, and yet with a newly discovered old plant as a vibrant cancer or heart fighter, we adapt, taste test, and learn.
- To have grandma say, “It’s not quite the same”, we will take as a compliment, grandma. By extracting some, most, of the animal fats and replace with plant or fish oils, so many studies build or rebut previous “knowns”. Which is why we are creating two healthy lifestyle web sites, one for updated information and historic reflection on healthy living; the other you will soon be able to link to will take and incorporate that into a new, or existing recipe. So you can imagine Angel’s kitchen experiments when we send over news that some new jungle lettucy plant is a powerhouse of nutrients. That’s all fine, but we are not going to sit around a table of healthy food that by each, tastes yucky,… to find a way to yin and yang IT into something yummy tasting. One such is the question, what is best for breakfast? All studies confirm breakfast is most important meal of the day. We are “breaking” our night long “fast”, and our body needs a belly full of healthy energy-creating foods. Eggs are loaded with protein. But. We all have heard so much that the egg yolk is loaded with “bad” LDL chlorestorol, and it is. It is also a powerhouse of other nutrients including large amounts of “good” HDL, and also we find there is “good” and “bad” LDL. The “bad” LDL is small, sticky, the bad stuff that sticks to the arteries. The good HDL, and the “good” LDL, which is light and fluffy, also joins the HDL in stripping the fatty bad LDL platelets away.
- Extensive study of many studies recently in a new diet book, and in Men’s Health discusses this at length, which we will over several articles. the absolute proof does not seem to be in, new questions have been raised, and we should imagine that extensive and large studies on this are underway.
- But, for a change these past three days, my breakfast has been 2 pieces of fat free ham and 2 boiled eggs, with some 2% fat yogurt, and lightly stewed tomatoes and a yellow pepper, an hour ago. And I feel great, with milk in my coffee.

Otherwise, the bowl of high fibre grains and berries with milk allowed me my protein, almost, but too much sugar rush from those powdered portions of grains, even though they were whole grain.
- Keep checking with our doctors, don’t go to extremes either way, but these studies seem to show that a higher protein low carb diet may be in fact healthier than the high carb cereal low fat. We need that fat, but it can be plant or fish oil or fat, or our body can’t fully process the foods coming through our systems. I have wanted to share this news with Angel and the Chief, but until we get on the conference call, I’ll keep checking these facts again, so many scientists are behind progress in other areas, I am noticing, God hasn’t created a Heavenly Directory for all to plug into for the actual factual latest, so we keep reading, studying, and doing the sensible, healthy things.
