Clean drinking water is an essential need of all human beings daily…
- With expanding populations, subdivisions draining wetlands, access to cool clear water becomes more problematic, it seems, each year. We expect to hear of ancient water or sewage pipes bursting in third world countries, mixing their clean and polluted waters, killing, sickening, shortening the lives of millions.
- But as often these days it seems even hundred year old pipes, which includes most of North America, also now has old cast iron water and sewage systems bursting, septic fields and wells being contaminated by heavy industrial poultry and pesticides runoff, or other lifestock pens seeping into “organic crops” as recently in California where spinach became contaminated by adjacent cow pastures up hill.
- Even green Canada, with a third of the earth’s fresh water lakes, has water contaminationn scares, a few years back in Ontario, and even today in bucolic Sidney by the Sea, British Columbia, where a couple of clear and sewage water pipes not even one hundred year old pipes burst; and everyone was trying to make their tea out of very foul smelling brownish water. Even boiling the water 10 minutes still gave you an unpleasant cup of tea. Some Poo-bah some where might like it, but not the folks in today’s Sidney, drinking (gasp) bottled water.
- Which brings us to another article in which the advisory long term is that we fasten down our own little castle with as many preventatives as possible. If you can afford a water purifying system under the sink, it would be an investment in your family’s health, given the uncertainties out there. However, while until recently we would have suggested an ice cube maker, nut not so now. Researchers have found that cold water sticks oily fats to our linings, allowing particles to stick, ferment, cause fungal problems, cancers, death.
- That’s also why we suggest that you no longer drink your water or juices cold. Perhaps why they know drinking (usually cold) pops can increase risk of the above.
- Another reason to have hot coffee or tea at meal times, perhaps hot milk chocolate? Check out our new Pages Healthy Supplements and Home Gym Essentials. Wonderful, elegant quick seections of finest supplements, and a dream gym system.

We all know by now to drink 6-8 glasses of pure water daily: we rarely manager to do it.
- We may not need to drink six to eight glasses of water daily. The water should be pure; some times we all find that it’s handy to have a case of bottled water on a road trip, and on longer trips even a small car fridge for soothing mountain cold taste, as long as we recycle the plastic bottles, and not add to landfill and slow decay. Isn’t there a better way? Well, yes, there is. First of all, you or your youngest go on the Internet and check on the quality of water for your area, Once you have found the PH level, the purity, distance from toxic fields or basins, so many factors, you will know whether you can drink your tap water, or will you need a medium filter that fits in your fridge, or for more protection, a power water filter under the sink connection. Here you can save precious fridge space for more power juice bottles.
- So, if that becomes a space problem consider a larger fridge/freezer. If you upgrade, make it for life: purchase a double side by side fridge and freezer with an ice-maker. Have your plumber install your Water Filter System under your sink, if that is your wiser solution and run a connection from the filter to your water supply in the fridge, this can be hidden behind the back shelves, and your ice cubes will be pure. Add this pure ice water to all your drinks and realize you are meeting your water needs while you enjoy your blackberry cocktail, filled with ice. Enjoy your drunken berries, take turns that he and she drop one drunken berry after another into each other, getting more powerful than drunk, how amazing, in front of a fire, at a luxurious time. Imagine if the Romans had know of this. Welcome signs of the times: more polluting, but many more of us taking action against it, starting at home with our own family. So here’s to our bringing back our precious earth to a more natural state, and learn to live in harmony with nature while we build our futures in a cleaner more aware sense of the earth and its cycles as well.
Your Dash for Power team.
